So Jennifer Hudson has (finally) released her new single and video, Spotlight to her self-titled debut album that is long overdue. And considering I haven’t heard of a release date (feel free to correct me) then my guess is we still might be waiting a minute before we get the actual album. At first when I heard Spotlight, I didn’t really like it but by the time I got to the end of the song I was bobbing my head. And now there’s this nice House Remix that I like better then the original song.

I’m hoping her album is a success but to be honest I’m feeling a bit mixed about the whole thing. She may have waited too long to put this sucker out and even though she was just in the Sex In The City Movie, she still may have been out of the spotlight (pun intended) to have a really successful album. Then again I could just be over thinking everything and the album will come out and be wildly successful and she will be just like Jamie Foxx with an Oscar and a Grammy. Here’s hoping.
